In their likeness
The state , the state!
Oh the sad state!
Mad rage and greed rampant,
Tempting karma, tempting fate.
The Gods above, look down on us
"We made them in our likeness" they say
But people playing God, have lost their way.
Looting, thieving, conniving ,
Killers out there are thriving.
Children dying,mothers crying.
Homes destroyed like cinder boxes.
Who is this for? They say it's "for our people", but that's just lying.
The death toll just a statistic.
The world moves on, why isn't it going ballistic?
Silence has never been this deafening
Watching it burn, watching it burn.
The gods look down upon their piece of art.
Their lives' work, their soul, their precious part.
"We made them in our likeness,
wish we gave them a heart!"
This piece is a powerful reflection on the state of humanity—raw, evocative, and painfully honest. The imagery captures the chaos and moral drift of our times, while the rhythmic urgency in each line pulls the reader into deep contemplation. It’s both a lament and a wake-up call, reminding us how far we’ve strayed from empathy and conscience. A beautifully haunting piece that lingers long after reading.
ReplyDeleteHeart wrenching.
ReplyDeleteDid the gods lie and tempt, showing us the fruit and calling it forbidden?
Are Gods just a figment of our imagination?
The truth is ,it is man against man, for mannah, for whom no man knows.
