Doubt

 

Have you ever had this feeling in your heart
A feeling there was something missing,
Missing a part
A feeling in your soul
That you weren't quite so whole.


 Feel so heavy
Bursting at the seams
Still so empty there's nothing left to give
Have you ever had that feeling
Like you're not quite there
In a room full of people
But the noise disappears
Inside you that one voice is so loud
But you aren't quite sure what it's going on about.


 Tossing and turning in my bed
So fixated yet unaware
Thoughts abundant
So unclear
Within me, every day everywhere.

And although we don't talk every day Every hour any more. And you are no longer the first person I turn to When I am scared or happy or sad. You are always there whenever I really need to count on someone You are there when I need to be grounded You are still there in all my memories In the way I was and the way I want to be.
